Reciprocal data sharing between clinics is effectively managed, because clinics that choose to enable the option of sharing interpreted variants will establish a mutual agreement, allowing them to share their interpretations within GENOVESA. The data is pseudo-anonymized, consisting solely of variant classifications in the genome without any identifying patient information. In practice, this system is already successfully implemented in several private clinics using GENOVESA.
The software is also compatible with multiple sequencing technologies such as Illumina, MGI, PacBio, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Genapsys, and others. This flexibility allows users to analyze data no matter the sequencing platform used.
It goes without saying that the platform is fully compliant with GDPR regulations, which ensures the privacy and protection of sensitive patient information. GENOVESA also prioritizes data security with HTTPS encryption and stores data in a secure data center in Prague.
